Problem

  • The website initially recorded a bounce rate of over 80%, indicating low user engagement and retention.

  • No documentation was captured during the first meeting to benchmark performance.

Observation

  • A preliminary “before” screenshot was taken a few weeks into the project (Figure 11).

  • The bounce rate appeared lower, though this was likely influenced by frequent internal visits during development.

  • Page views and average time spent on the website remained unchanged compared to the first meeting.

Result

  • A final screenshot (Figure 12) showed a nearly 40% reduction in bounce rate compared to the original state.

  • Both Figure 11 and Figure 12 highlighted increases in page views and time spent on the website, confirming improved user engagement and retention.

  • Increase in average pages per session, rising from 0.8 to 2 pages.

  • Improved average time spent per visit from 0.4 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds.
